Springfield emp 9mm problems

Nov 24, 2012 · I bought a 9mm EMP today, in the 26000 serial number range. I was planning on shooting it sometime within the next few days, but while hand cycling it, I notice that the extractor is not putting any tension on the casings after the slide/barrel have moved out of battery, and the barrel has dropped. .

I believe the 9mm 1911 mags are standard as long as you get the correct size (govt/commander/compact). I've heard that some brands if guns might be picky with certain brands of mags though.
